Ironheart has had a rather unique run, with six episodes releasing on two different days a week apart, and now that it has come to an end, it has left the fans buzzing with anticipation and a demand for another season. In the final episode of Ironheart, we see that Mephisto is quite impressed with what Riri has pulled off and now wants to make a deal with her. However, initially, Riri refuses to do so, but later it appears that she is considering giving it a shot. So, what exactly happened? Let’s find out, as I have the ending of Ironheart explained in detail.
What Happened at the End of Ironheart?
As Ironheart approached its finale, we see that Riri had managed to build a suit that can take a stand against The Hood. However, she needed a power source strong enough to keep the suit running, but nothing seemed to be working. So, she turns to magic and asks Zelma to power her suit using it. Even though it had risks, Riri was willing to go that length to stop The Hood, and as Zelma began filling up Riri’s suit with magic, something truly unexpected happened. As soon as the magic started to bond with the suit, Natalie, the AI, started getting deleted, and even though Riri tried her best, she could not save her from being replaced by Magic.
Even though this was devastating for Riri, she went out to stop The Hood first and would then try to bring back Natalie. However, as she emerged victorious, she was greeted by none other than Mephisto, who made her see that he could bring back Natalie, in the flesh, and we even see a frame of Riri shaking Mephisto’s hand, but did she take the deal?
Ironheart Ending: Is Natalie AI Alive?
In the final frames of Ironheart, we see that Riri looks like a mad scientist who has been working around the clock just to bring back Natalie, and it seems to have worked. However, in the next frame, we see that it was a vision given to her by Mephisto, and when Riri declined to take the deal, Mephisto gave her an even more compelling one. He showed Riri that he can not just bring back the AI; he can bring back Natalie in the flesh. In the next couple of frames, we see that Riri shakes Mephisto’s hand, and then we see her hugging Natalie, and the same kind of scars Parker had on Riri’s hands.
Now, by the look of it, it seems that by the end of Ironheart, Riri accepted Mephisto’s deal and got Natalie back. However, I believe that what we saw was just a vision given to her by Mephisto to lure Riri in so that she would make the deal with him. It is highly unlikely that Riri will accept Mephisto’s offer after seeing what happened to Parker, but we will have to wait to find out what happened. What do you think? Did Riri take the deal?
